Gallery Blue is Ready For the Road

On April 11th 2009 the inaugural Focus...Now!!! exhibition will take place with Kelly Rogers and a special collaborative performance by Kelly and Leah Floyd. This exhibition is mobile and will take place numerous times throughout the day at a variety of locations including the beehives in Micanopy, FL, the Waldo Coffee Shop in Waldo, FL, Jacksonville Beach and throughout downtown Jacksonville, FL.

The Goal is to make this exhibition as public as possible.

By giving such a diverse audience the opportunity to see this exhibition much more can be accomplished. It is important to put the vehicles in front of the audience rather than expect the audience to come to the vehicles. I plan to create a relationship between the general public and the mobile art object that will involve all classes to allow the space between the art and the viewer to be for all and not just for the society that attends museums and galleries on a somewhat regular basis. This piece is mobile and we must take advantage of this opportunity to remain mobile in a time of economic hardship that has forced some of our major automobile companies to seek a bailout. By bringing art to the general public along with the concept of mobility and the ideology of labor within the process the community will be able to expand beyond stereotypes and cultures in hopes of simply forming a singular community.
